Shoreham pilot becomes youngest woman to fly with the US Air Force Thunderbird display team

Beth Moran, a 20 year old from Horsham West Sussex, took to the skies over RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire.
The F16 combat jets are in the UK as part of the 70th anniversary celebrations and will fly this coming weekend at the Royal International Air Tattoo.

Beth as been learning to fly as part of a ‘Fact Not Fiction’ documentary film. She has completed her Private Pilot’s License (PPL) with Sussex Flying Club and has been experiencing a whole spectrum of all things ‘aviation’.

The  USAF  Air  Demonstration  Squadron  (“Thunderbirds”)  is  the  air  demonstration   squadron  of  the  United  States  Air  Force  (USAF).  The  Thunderbirds  are  assigned  to   the  57th  Wing,  and  are  based  at  Nellis  Air  Force  Base.

Fact  Not  Fiction  Films  producer  and  former  British  Airways  Captain,  Tristan   Loraine  stated: “We  have  numerous  leading  partners  working  with  us  on  the  project,  these range from Bose to Garmin, all innovative and world famous brands. To have Beth fly with the Thunderbirds, legends in aviation history, is truly remarkable.”
