Directions

Brighton City Airport is situated near to the A27, making it nice and easy to get to by road. There are also nearby bus and rail links, and we are happy to arrange private chauffeurs or taxis.

FROM THE EAST (bRIGHTON, eASTBOURNE)

  • From the A23/Brighton area, follow directions to Worthing and after passing through the Southwick Tunnel and over the Adur flyover, continue through the traffic lights.
  • At the first roundabout, turn left which will lead you onto another roundabout.
  • Take the first left on to Rose Street and follow the road until you come to a junction.
  • Turn right at the junction and follow the road around the airfield to the Art Deco Terminal Building.

FROM THE WEST (WORTHING, PORTSMOUTH)

  • From the A24/Worthing area, follow directions to Brighton.
  • At the New Monks Farm roundabout, turn right.
  • At the next roundabout turn left on to Rose Street and follow the road until you come to a junction.
  • Turn right at the junction and follow the road around the airfield to the Art Deco Terminal Building.

Parking Information

There are over 100 car parking spaces immediately outside the Main Terminal building, with a pay and display parking service in place.

There are several bays designated for disabled parking for the blue badge holders, though please note that this parking amenity is not free.

Machines for cash and card payments are signposted, together with instructions for the POPPAY app, for those who wish to use cashless payments. POPPAY charges an additional 30p for use of the app.  

Coins accepted 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2. No change is given at the machines.

There is a fixed penalty scheme in operation.

Bus Services

The Stagecoach Coastliner 700 service runs every 10 minutes between Portsmouth and Brighton and stops close to the airport on the A259, with only a 10-minute walk to the airport Terminal Building.

If heading from the east, the bus stops next to the Adur Recreation Ground.  

If heading from the west the bus stops near The Longshore public house. The quickest walk is then along New Salts Farm Road, under the railway line and along the Cecil Pashley Road.

The service also operates through the night as the N700 bus.

Getting Here by Train

Shoreham-by-Sea railway station is a 1 mile, or 20-minute walk from the airport.

Southern Railway operates fast links to and from Shoreham-by-Sea along the coast via Brighton, Worthing, Southampton, Portsmouth and the West Country, in addition to the frequent services to London Victoria and London Gatwick Airport.

The main taxi rank is situated outside the south exit of Shoreham-by-Sea station.

The walking route from Shoreham-By-Sea railway station takes approximately 20 minutes.

  • From Shoreham-by-Sea railway station, head south down Brunswick Road. 
  • Take the 2nd road to the right onto St Mary’s Road and then the first left onto East Street, with the Church of St Mary on the right. 
  • Join the pedestrianised section of East Street, until reaching the High Street (the A259), and turn right.  
  • Follow the High Street until reaching a mini-roundabout. Cross to the south side of the A259 and cross again towards the Rope Tackle Arts Centre. 
  • Turn left and walk across the bridge over the River Adur.
  • Take the first road to the right, and walk past the Adur Recreation Ground.
  • After a car park on the right, take the footpath to the right and head towards the railway line.
  • Take the path under the railway and then the first path on the left, down to the Cecil Pashley Way.
  • Follow the Cecil Pashley Way towards the west, until you reach the flags outside the Main Terminal Building.
